September 18th was the International Coastal Cleanup Day, and so IT People partenered with Movimento Claro Oeiras to mark this date with a cleanup action, at Algés Beach, which resulted in the collection of more than 30 kg of garbage:
✅ 1.8 Kgs of paper and cardboard;
✅ 2 Kgs of glass;
✅ 4 Kgs of plastic and aluminum;
✅ 26.7 kgs of unsorted waste;
✅ 4.5 liters of cigarette butts;
✅ 2 plastic bottles of cotton swabs.
Thanks to everyone who joined us in this beach cleanup, inserted in the Blue Ocean Foundation campaign, which was crucial to raise awareness about the importance of preserving the oceans and coastal ecosystems, and to reinforce the certainty that our everyday actions have an impact on the planet! 🌎
