IT People joins the Tágides Award
For the second consecutive year, IT People Group has joined the Tágides Award, an ALL4INTEGRITY initiative with the high patronage of the Presidency of the Republic.
Making Portugal an international reference in the fight against corruption is one of the main objectives of this award, which every year recognizes the Portuguese men and women who have stood out in the fight against corruption and the promotion of a culture of integrity in Portugal.
The award ceremony took place on December 16, at the Fundação Oriente Auditorium.
From a total of over 100 nominations, 19 were finalists, from which the following winners stood out:
Youth Initiative - Eduardo Figueiredo;
Political Initiative - João Cravinho;
Research Project - José António Cerejo;
Civil Society Project - Luís Rosa;
Local Initiative - Helena Roseta.

Our IT People got together to show their solidarity , with the delivery of donations to Refúgio Animal Angels, whose mission is to save and rehabilitate injured or abandoned animals.

For the second year in a row, IT People Group joins the #PlasticFreeJuly movement, and takes up the challenge to reduce plastic consumption!
What is Plastic Free July?
Plastic Free July is a global movement to raise awareness about plastic pollution. The concept is simple: participants are challenged to reduce the consumption of single-use plastics by avoiding their use.
How to join the movement?
It is understandable that not all of us can totally reduce our plastic consumption during the month, however, we can take small steps such as avoiding the use of straws, bags or plastic bottles!
The idea is to become more aware and awake to the problem of excessive plastic consumption, and to make our contribution to reducing it!
HERE, you can find some ideas on how to start!
Some suggestions on how to reduce your plastic consumption
- Say no to single-use plastics
Avoid straws, cotton swabs, shopping bags, take-away containers, and so on, and so on...
- Use reusable bags
Making your shopping list? The first item might be "don't forget to carry a reusable bag"! Keep them in places where you'll remember them: in the car, in your backpack, at the entrance to your house...
You are at the supermarket and forgot to take your bag? Then choose ones that are made of natural fibers, like cotton, jute, or recycled plastic bottles!
- Packaged food
Much of the food is still packaged in plastic - but there are alternatives! It is becoming increasingly common to find products packaged in paper, cardboard, or glass, which are generally easier to recycle than plastic. Opt for these alternatives and, whenever possible, choose items that are sold in bulk.
- Say no to "bottling"
Let's rid the traffic of empty plastic bottles lying under our beds and on our desks! Does tap water taste bad? Filter it! We're sure that you don't need a reminder to always use our little reusable bottle!
- Party Plastic Free
Disposable plastics are out, but let's also bar confetti and balloons! You have recycled paper decorative options, and you can DIY!
- Ice cream? In a cone, please!
I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream... in cone! Unless you have an alternative to the plastic cup and spoon, the cone seems like a VERY viable solution, or not? Who says no to a cookie?

10 Reasons to be the Happiest Company in Portugal
IT People Innovation was recently distinguished as the Happiest Company in Portugal, by the Happiness Works 2022 awards, achieving an Organizational Happiness level of 4.8 (on a scale from 1 to 5).
After in our first participation, in 2021, we got directly to the podium with an honorable 2nd place, in this edition, which counted with the participation of 123 companies, we managed to overcome ourselves and cto onquered the title of Happiest Company!
This result comes from a survey promoted by the organization of this initiative among employees of the candidate companies, and therefore we couldn't be prouder with the fact that our IT-People feel happy with us!
Therefore, nothing better than to know the testimony of some of our team members, so that we can know firsthand what makes IT People the leader in organizational happiness in the country.
1. I am happy at IT People because I can always count on the support and closeness of all employees, for the continuous follow-up, for the development opportunities and, last but not least, for the treats we are always receiving 😋😂

IT People has fantastic people, from my manager Natália to the various colleagues I have dealt with, to the team in HR, management and all the different areas. IT People Solidarity Basket
At IT People we recognize the importance of carrying out community contribution actions and, therefore, we integrated a solidarity component in one of our initatives.
In partnership with @ESOESTE, we donated 1 kg of products per each employee to CASA - Centro de Apoio ao Sem Abrigo (Support Center for the Homeless) whose mission is to help those who are homeless or belong to families at risk or families in need, providing food, clothing, and social reintegration services.
There were about 170 kg of fresh products, which will be used in the execution of hot meals for the homeless population and integrated in the food baskets delivered to families at risk or in need. 💚
